Capturing Everyday Moments

Sometimes I let my hamster run around in her ball downstairs. She often traps herself in the kitchen…but sometimes she manages to jump the carpet.

March 26:

I was trying to take a cool picture of a reflection in a window…you can see my silhouette on the right if you look for the pink shirt. My co-workers are sitting with me at the table. There is a parking garage in the background.
March 27:

On our walk to lunch, my co-workers and I saw plastic Easter eggs on the lawn of a sorority house. Not sure if they were trying to hide them, or if they just threw them out…?

March 24:

I went to a Japanese restaurant with my family and relatives. I tried sushi for the first time…but I didn’t take a picture of it. However, I did take a picture of the wall and ceiling. Exciting!
March 25:

I tried to go for a cool shot of the tea I made this evening to relax. This is the result.

March 21:

On my walk to my car after work, I realized I never took any photos of my daily path. This is the underpass I walk through. Awesome perspective and depth! There is some random girl walking, too. Ha.
March 22:

It was really cloudy today. I tried to take the same photo near my friend’s house, with and without the flash. This one is without the flash…and it gives it a sense of foreboding.

With the flash, it just reminds me of how cold and cloudy it was.

March 23:

My dear friend and I put together this rotating CD/DVD stand from Target a few weeks back, and I just got to organizing my DVDs on it. This side has dramas and fantasy movies, in alphabetical order, plus some stuffed toys and my travel Scrabble.

This side has comedies, romantic comedies, and animated movies. Plus the random stuffed animals.

My friends and I went on a hike at Tanque Verde Falls. Here’s a shot of the mini waterfall and big rocks.

We had a beer next to the water at Oak Creek Canyon.

After yoga, my friends and I went to The Cup for dinner at Hotel Congress.

March 20:

I bought a bunch of stuffed Peeps and decided to stuff them into a vase. Squishy and colorful fun!

March 6:

They were having some kind of housing fair on campus today. Tents and students everywhere! And student elections are coming up, so the people in the blue shirts were campaigning for one of the candidates.

March 7:

Cut to the end scene of lunch at a Chinese buffet. After I cleaned up some of our mess, my cousin decided to dip a napkin into one of the sauces….lovely.

March 8:

My co-workers and I were relaxing after lunch. There was some of the quesadilla leftover, and since the weather was nice enough, we sat outside and fed some birds after we finished eating. The last photo is an action shot - the birds are fast when they get their food and then fly away!

March 3:

I met up with some friends for a mid-afternoon snack and shopping trip. Since it was in between lunch and dinner, I decided to indulge in a mudd pie. It was enormous…and the cookie base was so hard that the huge knife was actually useful. Overall quality: I’ve had better.

March 4:

My mom, sister, and I decided to make homemade pork wontons. Before and after shots are above. Tasty!

March 5:

Had dinner with a couple of friends at a place called Bumsted’s. One of my friends noticed the wall decorations. We weren’t very impressed. I personally was confused.

Feb 25:

Another tortoise shot! He just drank some water.

One of our dogs likes to use his paw to try to get attention. It’s usually quite effective!

Feb. 26: The first day I did not take a photo. However, I like to think that two photos for Monday should cover it…?

Feb. 27:

Had lunch with some co-workers and decided to take a picture of the coaster.

March 1:

Being sick this week, cold medicine worked its magic. Hooray for Target brand meds!
March 2:

My favorite tofu dish from a local Chinese restaurant. SO GOOD.
